2020-(S) NGC MS-69 Early Releases 1 oz American Silver Eagle Emergency Production with Trolley Label - Struck At San Francisco Mint
The US Silver Eagle is one of the most popular silver coins globally. The US Mint consistently produces these coins annually, adding special Proof and Burnished editions to the collection.
In 2020, a significant moment in American coin history occurred amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The surge in demand for Silver Eagles led the US Mint to accelerate production and release an emergency supply to satisfy market needs.
These coins lack mint marks identifying their origins. Therefore, NGC distinguishes them by including an “S” in parentheses on their labels to identify those issued at the San Francisco Mint.
SD Bullion sells 2020-(S) 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins Struck at the San Francisco Mint in an Emergency Issue. They were purchased from the US Mint within 30 days of their official release and graded by NGC as MS-69 samples.

The Design

It also contains the word “LIBERTY” on top, the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” aside, and the year of mintage at the bottom.
The US Mint Chief Engraver, John Mercanti, designed the reverse. The Heraldic Eagle carries the National Shield on its chest, arrows and olive branches on its talons, and a banner with the inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” on its beak. The stars above the Heraldic Eagle represent the Thirteen Original Colonies.
Additional engravings such as “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR” describe the face value, weight, metal content, and purity data.
