The Design
The Walking Liberty is a standard obverse design in Silver Eagles. Adolph A. Weinman created it to stamp the Half-Dollar coin in 1917, and it was brought back to be on the Silver Eagle. Lady Liberty walks towards the sun, with one stretched arm and the other carrying branches of oak and laurel. She has the American flag draped on her shoulder, which seems to fly with the wind. “LIBERTY” arches over the image, while “IN GOD WE TRUST” is engraved on the lower right.
John Mercanti signs the debuting reverse design, which features the Heraldic Eagle behind the national shield. The Eagle carries arrows and oak branches on its talons and the banner “E PLURIBUS UNUM” on its beak. Thirteen stars above the Eagle represent the Thriteen Colognies. The inscriptions encircling the image are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” followed by the coin’s weight, metal content, purity, and face value.”
A new reverse design substituted the original one to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Program. The Eagle, designed by Emily Damstra, has a more natural portrait, and the engravings presented in the original image are preserved in the new reverse.
Note: that we can not guarantee which reverse may be on your coin, as this is a random year product.
An NGC or PCGS MS-69 Coin
The PCGS - Professional Coin Grading Service and the NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company are third-party services that use the Sheldon Grading Scale to provide coins with a particular grade based on the item’s condition at the moment of appreciation.
The scale ranks coins from 1 to 70. The grade 70 is attributed to flawless coins.
For both services, an MS-Mint State means that a particular coin has the same format as a business coin for widespread circulation. The 69-grade says that the coin may present minor flaws but is almost invisible.

The Random Year Purchase allows investors to get products for lower premiums.
In this case, clients are guaranteed to receive authentic MS-69 1 oz Silver Eagles. However, according to our inventory availability at the shipping moment, they may have an NGC or a PCGS seal and varied mintage.
