American Silver Eagle coins were first struck in 1986. It has enjoyed a tremendous success ever since its introduction into the bullion market.
Traditionally, US Silver Eagles are produced at the West Point branch of the US Mint. However, whenever demand is intense for these bullion coins, the Mint enlists its other branches in the production.
These particular American Silver Eagles were minted at the San Francisco Mint. They do not bear the "S" mint mark, but they are graded by PCGS as MS-70 and it is indicated on the slab label that they were Struck at San Francisco.

The Design
The obverse, designed by Adolph A. Weinman, features "The Walking Liberty," depicting Lady Liberty draped in the American flag as she strides toward the sun's rays.
Lady Liberty extends one arm to welcome newcomers to the New World and carries oak and laurel branches in the other. This side also includes the word "LIBERTY," the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year of mintage.
On the reverse, John Mercanti, Chief Engraver of the US Mint, presents the Heraldic Eagle, adorned with the National Shield on its chest, arrows and olive branches in its talons, and a banner with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in its beak. The stars above the eagle symbolize the Thirteen Original Colonies.
The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR" denote the coin's face value, weight, metal content, and purity.
