1986 NGC/PCGS MS-69 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin - Random Label
Introducing the premiere US Silver Eagle.
The American Eagle Program made its entry into the bullion market in 1986 with the release of the official U.S. silver coin.
The U.S. Silver Eagle contains 1 troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver, has a face value of USD 1, and holds legal tender status.
It features the iconic Lady Liberty, initially designed by Adolph A. Weinman for the 1907 Half-Dollar, and the Heraldic Eagle, created by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti.
Today, SD Bullion sells 1986 1 oz American Silver Eagle coins graded as MS-69. They may be sealed by either NGC or PCGS and randomly taken from our inventory at the time of shipping.

The face value, weight, metal content, and purity description reads “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
The obverse showcases Lady Liberty enveloped in the American flag and holding oak and laurel branches in her arm as she walks.
The words “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the year of issuance are also engraved.
An NGC/PCGS MS-69 coin
Both third-party services, NGC—Numismatic Guaranty Company and PCGS—Professional Coin Grading Service—evaluate and grade coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
For both, MS stands for Mint State. MS coins have the format of business coins and are intended for widespread circulation. 69 is the grade given to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.
