2015 PCGS MS-69 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin
American Silver Eagles are a testament to the US Mint’s excellence at crafting silver coins of high craftsmanship.
They were introduced in the numismatic world in 1986 as the American Eagle Program's debuting coin, weighing 1 Troy oz of 99.9% fine silver, and a patriotic design starring Lady Liberty and the Heraldic Eagle, the most iconic symbols of American coinage and national pride.
Today, SD Bullion has 2015 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins in stock, sealed in PCGS slabs and certified as MS-69 samples.
Coin Highlights
- Evaluated, encapsulated, and certified as MS-69 coins by PCGS;
- Contains 1 oz of .999 fine silver;
- Bullion coin;
- Produced by the US Mint;
- Bears legal tender status and a USD 1 face value;
- The obverse features the Walking Liberty by Adolph A. Weinman;
- The reverse displays the Heraldic Eagle by John Mercanti.
The Design
The “Walking Liberty” design depicts Lady Liberty walking toward the sun's rays, with the American flag draped on her shoulder, oak, and laurel branches in one hand while stretching the other arm to welcome new immigrants.
The image contains the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” the word “LIBERTY,” and the year of mintage.
The reverse portrays the Heraldic Eagle with the National Shield on its chest, arrows and olive branches on its talons, and a banner with the inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” on its beak. Thirteen pointed stars above the Eagle represent the original colonies.
Further inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR” for face value, weight, metal content, and purity.
