An NGC MS-62 coin
NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
An MS coin indicates a Mint State coin issued as a business circulation one. Grade 62 suggests that the coin may present marks and hairlines in focal areas, noticeable scuff marks, and below-average planchet quality. But acceptable overall appearance.
