2015 NGC MS-69 Mint Error Obverse Struck Thru 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin
US Silver Eagles are among the most sought-after silver coins globally. The U.S. Mint mints them to the highest quality standards as the official silver bullion coin of the United States. While minting errors are uncommon, when they do occur, they become highly valuable collectibles.
Struck-through errors are the most common type of mint error and happen when something, like debris or fabric, is caught between the dies during the minting process, imprinting an undesirable mark on the coin.
These 2015 1 oz US Silver Eagles are Obverse Struck-Through samples and are sealed in NGC slabs as MS-69 coins. You can purchase them online from SD Bullion.

The Design
The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's “The Walking Liberty.” In the image, Lady Liberty is the feminine figure representing the American nation. She has the American flag draped on her shoulder and oak branches on her arm. The sun shines while she walks with a stretched arm, welcoming those looking for shelter.
The word “LIBERTY” is inscribed on top, “IN GOD WE TRUST” is on the lower right, and “2015” is on the bottom rim.
The reverse depicts the Heraldic Eagle beneath stars, representing the Thirteen Original Colonies, designed by John Mercanti.
The Eagle has the National Shield on its chest, arrows and olive branches in its talons, and a banner with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in its beak.
The engravings "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR" describe the coin's face value, weight, metal content, and purity.
An NGC MS-69 Coin
NGC—Numismatic Guaranty Company and other third-party services work independently of sovereign mints. They appraise coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
Mint State coin or “MS” refers to a coin minted as a business coin. The number 69 means the coin has its original luster preserved despite minor or non-detracting contact marks or flaws, which are almost invisible.
