2003 NGC MS-70 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin - Brown Label
American Silver Eagles debuted in the bullion market in 1986. The US Mint launched the nation's official silver bullion coin through the American Eagle Program alongside the American Gold Eagle.
The Silver Eagle is a one-dollar coin, legally recognized as tender, containing a full troy ounce of silver.
Beyond its intrinsic value, the coin's design embodies the core values of the Founding Fathers, featuring iconic artistry by Adolph A. Weinman and Chief Engraver John Mercanti.

The Design
The obverse depicts Lady Liberty striding towards the sun's rays. She carries oak and laurel branches in one arm while extending the other in a welcoming gesture, with the American flag draped over her shoulder.
The word “LIBERTY” arches over the image, the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is on the lower right, and the year of mintage is at the bottom.
The reverse showcases the Heraldic Eagle, designed by John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint. The Eagle has the National Shield on its chest, holds arrows and olive branches in its talons, and has a banner inscribed with “E PLURIBUS UNUM” in its beak.
Thirteen stars above the Eagle’s head symbolize the original colonies. The inscriptions surrounding the image read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR,” indicating face value, weight, metal content, and purity.
