1924 NGC MS-62 Peace Dollar Silver Coin
The Peace Dollar, introduced in 1921 as a symbol of hope and peace after the devastation of World War I, replaced the Morgan Dollar as the U.S. silver dollar.
Designed by Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci, the U.S. Mint produced Peace Dollars from 1921 to 1928 and briefly again in 1934 and 1935. Like the Morgan Dollar, each coin contains .7734 ounces of 90% silver.
