1922 NGC MS-62 Peace Dollar Silver Coin
Introduced in 1921 to symbolize peace and renewal after World War I, the Peace Dollar replaced the Morgan Dollar as the official U.S. silver dollar.
Peace Dollars were designed by Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci. The U.S. Mint issued them from 1921 to 1928, with additional issues in 1934 and 1935. Like the Morgan Dollar, each Peace Dollar contains 0.7734 ounces of 90% silver.
Today, 1922 Peace Dollar Silver Coins sealed in NGC slabs and certified as MS-62 coins are available for purchase at SD Bullion.

An NGC MS-62 coin
Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition.
An MS coin indicates a Mint State coin issued as a business circulation one. Grade 62 suggests that the coin may present marks and hairlines in focal areas, noticeable scuff marks, and below-average planchet quality. But acceptable overall appearance.
