1922-1935 NGC MS-64 Peace Dollar Silver Coin - Original Bag Fragment

The US Mint first released Peace Dollars in 1921 to embody peace and renewal after World War I.

Peace Dollars succeeded the Morgan Dollar as the official U.S. silver dollar. The U.S. Mint produced them from 1921 to 1928 and once more in 1934 and 1935.

Their design is signed by Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci, and like the Morgan Dollar, each Peace Dollar holds .7734 ounces of 90% pure silver.

These particular Peace Dollars, minted between 1922 and 1935, were sourced from a section of an original shipping bag and later appraised by the NGC.

SD Bullion offers Random Peace Dollar Silver Coins sourced from an Original Bag Fragment issued from 1922-1935. They are certified as MS-64 coins by NGC and varied mintages, randomly selected from our stocks.

An NGC MS-64 coin

Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition.

MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
