1885-O PCGS MS-63 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin

From 1878 to 1921, Morgan Dollars were the circulating dollar coin in the US. The US Mint crafted them weighing .7734 oz of silver and featuring an iconic design created by George T. Morgan.

The US Mint used several branches to manufacture Morgan Dollars, including Philadelphia, New Orleans, Denver, San Francisco, and Carson City, until 1893, when coinage operations in this last facility ceased.

Those coins minted with the “O” mint mark were issued in the New Orleans Mint.

You can acquire 1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coins, sealed in PCGS slabs and certified as MS-63 coins, from SD Bullion.

On the reverse, he features the Bald Eagle with outstretched wings, arrows, and olive branches in its talons and laurels surrounding it.

The image contains the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” and the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR.”

A PCGS MS-63 Coin

PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) is globally renowned for appraising and grading coins independently from sovereign mints. It uses the Sheldon Grading Scale to rank coins from 1 to 70.

MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin produced in a business circulation sample format. Grade 63 indicates that the coin may present marks and minor visible hairlines but still have an attractive overall appearance.
