Queen's Beasts Coin Series

The Queen’s Beasts Coin Series stands as a remarkable tribute to British heritage, artistry, and the enduring legacy of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. Drawing inspiration from the ten imposing heraldic statues that flanked Westminster Abbey during the Queen’s 1953 coronation, this series captures a unique blend of history and craftsmanship. Each coin in the collection showcases a legendary beast—such as the Lion of England, Griffin of Edward III, or Unicorn of Scotland—brought to life through the skillful hand of engraver Jody Clark. Collectors and enthusiasts alike have gravitated to the series not only for its intricate designs but also for its impressive range of options, including gold, platinum, and the innovative 2 oz .9999 fine silver format. The introduction of the 2 oz silver coin marked a significant moment, as it was the first of its kind in the United Kingdom’s bullion offerings, reflecting both tradition and modern minting excellence. The series culminates in the Completer coin, which elegantly unites all ten beasts in one sweeping design—a fitting finale for those seeking a sense of completion or a striking centerpiece for any collection.

As the days transition from the warmth of summer into the gentle coolness of early fall, the Queen’s Beasts coins continue to capture the imagination of a diverse range of individuals. Seasoned collectors may pursue individual coins to fill gaps in an existing set, appreciating the satisfaction that comes with discovering a particularly elusive design. Meanwhile, those new to precious metals often find the Queen’s Beasts series an inviting entry point, drawn in by the compelling stories behind each heraldic creature and the tangible sense of history each coin represents. These coins also make memorable gifts, whether for a milestone birthday, a graduation, or as a gesture of appreciation for someone with an eye for artistry and tradition. The substantial weight and detailed relief of the 2 oz silver coins, in particular, lend themselves to display or safekeeping, while gold and platinum editions offer their own distinct allure. Many enjoy the ritual of building a complete set over time, marking personal milestones or family occasions with each new addition. The seasonal shift often brings renewed interest in projects that can be shared with loved ones, and assembling a Queen’s Beasts collection can become a meaningful tradition—one that bridges generations and sparks conversation about history, symbolism, and craftsmanship.

Whether you are exploring the series for the first time or seeking to round out a collection, the Queen’s Beasts Coin Series offers a tangible connection to the pageantry and resilience of British heraldry. Each coin is more than a piece of precious metal; it is a testament to the artistry of modern minting and the enduring appeal of storied symbols. For those who appreciate the culmination of this celebrated series, the Queens Beasts Completer Edition Coins bring together all ten beasts in a single, masterful design—perfect for those who value both completeness and craftsmanship. As interest in collectible and commemorative coins continues across the changing seasons, the Queen’s Beasts series remains a standout choice for anyone drawn to the intersection of history, artistry, and the enduring value of physical bullion.
