2026 NGC MS-70 First Day of Issue 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin – Paul Hollis Label – Black Core

The Honorable Paul Hollis has officially taken the oath of office, becoming the 41st Director of the United States Mint. Nominated by President Donald Trump, his appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for American coinage.

For the first time in our nation’s history, the U.S. Mint will be led by a lifelong numismatist—someone who didn’t just study coins from afar, but lived the hobby, built a career around it, and understands firsthand what coins mean to collectors, investors, and everyday Americans.

It’s also hard to imagine better timing. Hollis steps into this role as the United States prepares for its 250th anniversary in 2026, a once-in-a-generation moment for American coinage. He has called this opportunity a “dream come true,” and for collectors, it truly is.

Commemorate with this monumental event with the first-ever release of labels signed by a sitting U.S. Mint Director. No signature label from an actively serving mint director has ever been offered prior to now, making this a groundbreaking moment in U.S. Numismatic history.

Certified by NGC as MS-70, the highest grade attainable for coins, and coupled with the First Day of Issue designation, these US Mint 2026 1 oz Silver Eagles are the ultimate Numismatic Collectible. Housed in a deluxe black core holder and sonically sealed with the Honorable Paul Hollis hand-signed label, these are strictly limited to 2,026 pieces and are available exclusively at SD Bullion. Don’t miss the opportunity to add this first-ever release to your collection!

The Design

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design, originally introduced in 1916. Lady Liberty strides confidently toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag, holding laurel and oak branches that symbolize civil and military strength. The inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the year 2026 complete the obverse.

The reverse showcases the Type 2 American Silver Eagle design, introduced in 2021. It depicts a bold American bald eagle in flight as it approaches a landing, clutching an oak branch in its talons. The inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR,” reinforcing the coin’s purity, weight, and legal tender status.

An NGC MS-70 First Day of Issue Coin

NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) is a globally recognized third-party grading service that evaluates coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale from 1 to 70.

An MS-70 Mint State designation represents a perfect coin, struck with full luster and free of post-production imperfections. The First Day of Issue label confirms the coin was received by NGC within the first day of its official release, adding another layer of exclusivity. The Paul Hollis Signature Label further enhances collectibility, pairing flawless condition with numismatic artistry and pedigree.
