The Design

The 2024 edition showcases a koala on a gum tree branch, along with the “P125” mint mark for the 125th Anniversary of Perth Mint, and the coin’s data regarding weight, metal content, purity, and year of issuance.

It also debuts the new obverse design with King Charles III. Besides the rising King's left profile, the image displays the engravings “CHARLES III,” “AUSTRALIA,” and “1 DOLLAR.”
