Design
The peaceful creature is depicted in its natural habitat in the 2022 Australian Koala design. The cute Koala is fast asleep on a branch of a eucalyptus tree. The word "Kola" appears over the koala's head on the coin. The inscription "2022, 1 KILO, 9999 Silver" is on the left side of the coin. Finally, the right side of the coin bears the Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark.
The obverse of this coin is similar to several other Perth coins. The Australian government backs the coin, which has a legal tender value of $30. The denomination, issuing country, and Queen’s name all surround the classic effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in the center of the coin.
