2013 1 Kilo Australian Koala Silver Coin
Having a renowned silver coin as an investment option may be a valuable asset. Silver is a precious metal that tends to remain valuable over time, despite fiat currency devaluation. Because of that, having them as an asset to diversify investment portfolios may be wise.
A kilo coin fits this purpose. A kilogram silver coin tends to be a more affordable purchase compared to several acquisitions of individual smaller coins. And, if they are part of a famous collection, such as the Australian Koala Series from the Perth Mint, the purchase becomes an exciting hobby.
The series release original designs for its permanent motif, the Australian Koala, at each annual strike. Since its debut in 2007, the series has displayed the Koala in exclusive depictions worth waiting for and collecting.

The Design
The 2013 design showcases a Koala perched on the fork of a tree. The inscriptions on this side refer to the series name, year of mintage, weight, fineness, and metal content. On top read: “AUSTRALIAN KOALA,” and on the bottom, “2015 1 KILO 999 SILVER.”
A discreet “P” on the lower right represents the Perth Mint’s mintmark.
The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II’s right-profile bust, designed by Ian Rank Broadley. Surrounding the image, read: “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” and “30 DOLLARS.”
