2021 PCGS MS-70 First Day of Issue Morgan and Peace Dollar Silver 6-Coin Set - Morgan and Peace Labels
The US Mint has crafted alluring silver coins over the years, targeted by collectors and investors worldwide. The Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars are two of the most iconic ones, produced at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th.
In addition to their silver content, these coins have valuable historical relevance, representing pre and post-World War seasons.
In 2021, the US Mint celebrated these coins by preparing the first two-coin set of Silver Morgan and Peace Dollars, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the final Morgan Dollar and the inaugural Peace Dollar strikes.
The success of this coin set prompted the US Mint to produce other options, like the 6-Coin Set of Morgan and Peace Dollars.
Today, SD Bullion offers Morgan and Peace Dollar 6-Coin Sets, certified by PCGS as MS-70 samples and sealed with Morgan and Peace Labels.

The Morgan Dollar Design
Morgan Dollars were named after Chief Engraver George T. Morgan, who signed the design. On the obverse, Lady Liberty is portrayed wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with wheat and cotton balls and a tiara inscribed “LIBERTY.”
It also contains the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” thirteen five-pointed stars representing the Thirteen Original Colonies, and the coin’s year of issuance.
The reverse depicts the Bald Eagle with outstretched wings, arrows, and olive branches in its talons and laurels surrounding it.
It includes the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
The Peace Dollar Design
The Peace Dollar showcases Lady Liberty’s bust, designed by Anthony de Francisci in 1921. In it, she wears a radiant crown, and the engravings “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the year of issuance complete the image.
On the reverse side, the Eagle rests on a rock, holding an olive branch, representing peace. On this side, the inscriptions read: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and “PEACE.”
A PCGS MS-70 First Day of Issue coin
PCGS (Professional Coins Grading Service) appraises and certifies coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin crafted in the format of a business circulation coin. Since it has never been in circulation, the coin has no flaws, which grants it a 70 grade.
PCGS considers “First Day of Issue” a coin submitted to its appraisal purchased from its original mint on the very first day of its official release.
