1997 NGC MS-69 American Silver Eagle Coins For Sale
Total Graded Population Of 92,587!
The 12th release in one of the most acclaimed coin series in the world from the United State Mint – American Silver Eagles, these Silver Eagle coins were struck in 1997. Moreover, they are assigned grades of MS-69 by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation), signifying pristine quality with no visible imperfections on the surfaces of these coins. Every one of these coins is encapsulated within a secure plastic slab by NGC, ensuring their safety and authenticity.
Established with an aim to inform buyers about the various qualities of coins in existence, NGC has been providing one of the most reliable coin grading services in the world, for over two decades. Hence, buyers already know the exact quality to expect when they buy an NGC graded coin. NGC uses the Sheldon Scale to grade coins, ranging from 1-70, where a grade of 70 denotes a perfect coin specimen.
Each of these 1997 American Silver Eagles is struck by the US Mint using 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver. Additionally, their official $1 face value and eligibility for various precious metals IRAs make these an excellent choice for investments in tangible assets.
The graceful image of Lady Liberty adorns the obverse of this coin, where she is seen walking towards the rising sun purposefully. In fact, this design is dubbed the ‘Walking Liberty’ design and was first used in 1916 on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Since these coins have been deemed – almost perfect specimens of 1997 American Silver Eagles, as indicated by their MS-69 NGC grades, they make a worthy addition to both investment assets and coin collections. These coins may display some natural spotting, which is completely normal and can occur over time and does not affect the grade of the coin. They all have been professionally graded by their respective certifier. The protective plastic slab the coin comes in certifies its grade. These slabs are subject to light abrasion marks, chips, cracks, and scuffs. These marks do not at all hinder the grade of the coin assigned to it and they do not devalue the slabbed coin in any way.
