1993-P NGC PF-69 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coin
The American Silver Eagle debuted in the bullion market, showcasing an alluring design that reflects the nation’s core values.
Lady Liberty and the Heraldic Eagle embody the ideals of Liberty, pride, and patriotism. These icons were exceptionally illustrated by Adolph A. Weinman and the 12th US Mint Chief Engraver John M. Mercanti.
Both versions, bullion and proof Silver Eagles stamp these designs. However, Proof Silver Eagles are distinguished by their mirror-like luster, which accents the intricate design details.
Each coin contains 1 Troy oz of 99.9% fine silver, carries a USD 1 face value, and is considered legal tender.
These coins, in particular, were minted in the Philadelphia Mint and bear the “P” mint mark.
Today, SD Bullion offers 1993-P 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof coins graded by NGC as PF-69 samples.

The Design
The obverse features Lady Liberty walking toward the sun's rays. She holds oak and laurel branches in one arm while extending her other in a welcoming gesture, with the American flag draped over her shoulder.
The word "LIBERTY," the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year of mintage are included.
The reverse showcases the majestic eagle with the National Shield on its chest, arrows and olive branches in its talons, and a banner with the inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in its beak. Thirteen stars above the eagle's head represent the original colonies.
It also contains the text "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR," indicating the coin's face value, weight, metal content, and purity, along with the "P" mint mark.
An NGC PF-69 Coin
The Sheldon Grading Scale ranges from 1 to 70 and is used as a parameter for third-party services, like NGC, which stands for Numismatic Guaranty Company, to appraise and grade coins.
According to the scale, PF stands for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes, which exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. 69 is the grade attributed to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.
