An NGC MS-64 coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company, like other third-party services, appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
