1884-O PCGS MS-63 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin - Old Green Holder
The US Mint created Morgan Silver Dollars in the late 1800s and early 1900s to function as the nation's official dollar coin for widespread circulation.
In addition to its silver content, Morgan Dollars became a highly prized silver coin for its beautiful design by Chief Engraver George T. Morgan and its historical significance.
The US Mint briefly reissued these coins in 1921 and once again in 2021 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of their final minting. Morgan Silver Dollars were produced at various official branches over the years, with those from the New Orleans Mint featuring the "O" mint mark.
SD Bullion offers 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coins, graded as MS-63 samples and sealed in the rare Old Green Holders, which PCGS used to encapsulate coins from 1989 to 1998.

A PCGS MS-63 Coin
PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale as a parameter. It works apart from sovereign mints, certifying coins from 1 to 70, according to their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin produced in a business circulation sample format. Grade 63 indicates that the coin may present marks and minor visible hairlines but still have an attractive overall appearance.
