1881-S PCGS MS-63 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin
Morgan Silver Dollars are among the most beloved silver coins globally. Produced in large quantities by the US Mint from 1878 to 1904, these coins measure 38mm in diameter, contain .7734 ounces of 90% pure silver, and feature reeded edges.
Their designs showcase two enduring symbols of American heritage: Lady Liberty and the Bald Eagle, created by the US Mint Chief Engraver George T. Morgan and named after him.
The US Mint struck Morgan Dollars at several facilities, including Philadelphia, New Orleans, Denver, San Francisco, and Carson City. Production at the Carson City Mint ended in 1893.
Coins with the “S” mint mark signify they were minted at the San Francisco facility.

A PCGS MS-63 Coin
PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale as a parameter. It works apart from sovereign mints, certifying coins from 1 to 70, according to their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin produced in a business circulation sample format. Grade 63 indicates that the coin may present marks and minor visible hairlines but still have an attractive overall appearance.
