The Design

The obverse showcases the crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian-Rank Broadley, encircled by “QUEEN ELIZABETH II,” “2 OZ 9999 GOLD,” standing for the coin’s weight, purity, and metal content, “2016” for the year of issuance, and “TUVALU 200 DOLLARS,” referring to legal tender, and face value.

The reverse design displays two airplanes flying over the US Navy's Pacific Fleet. The inscription on top read “75TH ANNIVERSARY.” The “P” mint mark from the Perth Mint is on the left, and at the bottom rim, “PEARL HARBOR MCMXLI.”
