The Design

These Cross and Flag Gold Bars are the first of their kind. Minted in .9999 Fine Gold, the front of the bar has the SD Bullion brand, weight, purity, and the Argor-Hereaus Melter Assayer Mark. Additionally, each bar is individually serialized which creates an excellent security feature. On the back of the bar is a powerful image of a wooden cross with an American flag draped over it.

The front of the Assay card has the SD Bullion logo, purity marked on the side, and an artistic rendering of a Tree which is a nod to the Tree of Life, an exclusive coin program of SD Bullion that features a micro engraving of a Bible verse on each coin. The reverse of the assay has the text "Gold is Money" at the bottom. In the background is faint text from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to John Taylor in 1816, reading "I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT BANKING INSTITUTIONS ARE MORE DANGEROUS TO OUR LIBERTIES THAN STANDING ARMIES".  Also included is text from the Constitution of the United States of America: "NO STATE SHALL MAKE ANYTHING BUT GOLD AND SILVER COIN AS TENDER". These are timeless reminders of the place Gold has as money.
