Modern Quarters and Dimes were almost always made in copper-nickel variants starting in 1965. However, beginning in 1992, the San Francisco Mint began to manufacture silver proof sets of US currency. These featured many circulating US coins, some of which were composed of 90% silver. The quarters and dimes were among the coins these sets contained.

In addition to the proof sets, the U.S. Mint would go on to manufacture various other quarters minted with 90% silver, including but not limited to select State Quarters, America the Beautiful Quarters, and American Women quarters. Up until 2018, the U.S. Mint has not manufactured 90% silver Dimes after 1965 outside of the Roosevelt design sold via the Silver Proof Sets.

By purchasing this item, we may either send one $10 FV roll of Modern Quarters or two $5 FV rolls of Modern Dimes. Which item and design sent will be based on currently available inventory at the time of purchase. We guarantee that all of the coins sent are comprised of 90% silver.

Note that all coins distributed in this product listing have been reviewed and verified as 90% silver. The U.S. Mint has manufactured proof variants of designs in both clad and silver content that are virtually identical. The easiest method to determine whether the coin has silver content or not is to inspect the edge of the coins. Where clad variants will have a copper rim surrounding half of the edge, these coins will never feature that copper rim.

Because the 1976-S Washington Bicentennial Reverse is manufactured with 40% silver, this specific design is ineligible for distribution under this product listing. For that same reason, 2019+ Quarters and Dimes, manufactured with 99.9% silver, will be ineligible for distribution under this product listing as well.
