2011-W NGC PF-70 Ultra Cameo 1 oz American Gold Eagle Proof Coin - Brown Label
American Gold Eagles are the official gold bullion coin in the US and the premier coin of the American Eagle Program with a one-ounce 22k coin.
The US Mint expanded the series to include fractional sizes and various finishes, including proof samples.
These 1 oz Gold Eagles, in particular, are proof samples minted at the West Point branch and carry the “W” mint mark. They were also submitted to NGC appraisal.
Today, SD Bullion offers 2011-W 1 oz Proof American Gold Eagles, certified as PF-70 Ultra Cameo coins and sealed with NGC Brown Label.

An NGC PF-70 UCAM Coin
Third-party services like NGC—Numismatic Guaranty Company use the Sheldon Scale as a parameter to appraise and grade coins.
The initials PF stand for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes. It exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. The expression “UCAM” or Ultra Cameo means this contrast is deeper and more intense than in other proof coins.
Grade 70 is the highest and is attributed to coins with no visible marks.
