1926 PCGS MS-64 $2.50 Sesquicentennial American Gold Coin

This historic document established the colonies’ break from British rule and laid the philosophical foundation for American liberty, self-governance, and individual rights. Its legacy continues to shape the nation’s identity, making any coin honoring this milestone a meaningful piece of U.S. history.
This coin was produced at the Philadelphia Mint despite not showing a mint mark and contains .1209 Troy oz of gold.

The reverse features Independence Hall in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania State House, where the Declaration was signed. The inscriptions surrounding the image read: “SESQUICENTENNIAL·OF·AMERICAN·INDEPENDENCE,” and “2 ½ DOLLARS.” It also features the mottos “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
