Commonly known as the Gold Eagle, the $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins are one of the most circulated American coins and the United States Mint issued them from 1795 to 1933. However, the coins underwent intermittent design changes over the years. The US Mint struck this particular version of the $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins between the years 1838 to 1907.

The Gold Eagle was the highest monetary denomination (valued at $10) among Eagles, Dollars, Dimes, and Cents in pre-1933 US coins, after which all gold coins were withdrawn from circulation and discontinued.

In addition to design changes, the US Mint also changed the purity and gold content of the coins in 1837. Unlike pre-1837 Gold Eagles, which were struck using 0.8892 pure gold, these post-1838 Gold Eagles contain 0.900 pure gold.

Since President Roosevelt recalled all these coins to melt into bars during the Great Depression, these coins are a rare find. Moreover, considering their nationwide circulation and age, these $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins' VF grade is incredible. Feature them in your gold coin collections and enrich them with an important chapter in American history, pure gold, and gorgeous designs.

The VF grade (Very Fine) is assigned to coins, which are in good enough condition to retain 75% or more of their designs.
