1922–1935 NGC/PCGS MS-62 Peace Dollar Silver Coin
Peace Dollars represent America’s post–World War I hope for peace and renewal. Introduced as the successor to the Morgan Dollar, each coin contains .7734 troy ounces of silver with 90% purity.
Struck by the U.S. Mint from 1921 to 1928 and again in 1934 and 1935, these coins reflect the optimism of a nation rebuilding. Italian-American artist Anthony de Francisci designed them with elegant imagery symbolizing unity and national aspiration.
SD Bullion offers Random Peace Dollar Silver Coins dated 1922–1935, each certified as MS-62 by either NGC or PCGS, selected at random from our inventory.

The Design
The obverse showcases Lady Liberty wearing a radiant crown inscribed with “LIBERTY.” It also includes the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” and the coin’s year of issuance.
The reverse features a calm bald eagle resting on a rock while holding an olive branch in its talon. Additional inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and “PEACE.”
An NGC/PCGS MS-62 Coin
NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) and PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) are renowned third-party certification services that assess and grade coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70.
For both services, an MS (Mint State) designation indicates a circulation-issue coin that remains uncirculated. An MS-62 grade suggests the coin may show noticeable marks, hairlines, or scuffs—particularly in focal areas—and may have below-average planchet quality, while still offering an overall acceptable appearance.
