1921 NGC MS-64 Morgan Silver Dollar
From 1878 to 1904, the US Mint extensively produced Morgan Silver Dollars. With a diameter of 38mm, weighing .7734 oz of 90% silver, and featuring reeded edges, these coins celebrated American pride with the Bald Eagle and Lady Liberty.
Due to the war effort and the shift to a gold standard, many Morgan Dollars, along with other silver coins, were lost or melted down.
In 1921, Morgan Silver Dollars were reintroduced to the market. This brief revival, including some design updates, lasted until the Peace Silver Dollars took over.
Today, Morgan Dollars are highly collectible and a popular investment option for those interested in 90% Junk Silver. You can purchase this specimen, graded MS-64 by NGC, at SD Bullion.
