1885-O NGC MS-64 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin - Great Montana Collection Label
Morgan Silver Dollars hold a special place in American coinage history. The US Mint produced them from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921 as the nation’s official dollar coin.
Named after their designer, George T. Morgan, these coins were produced at several US Mint locations, including Philadelphia, New Orleans, Denver, San Francisco, and Carson City, until 1893, when the Carson City branch ceased coinage operations.
Those coins minted with the “O” mint mark were issued in the New Orleans Mint.
Today, SD Bullion offers 1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coins, certified as MS-63 coins and sealed with NGC Special Great Montana Collection Label.

The motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” includes thirteen five-pointed stars representing the Thirteen Original Colonies and the year of issuance.
The reverse showcases the Bald Eagle with outstretched wings, arrows, and olive branches in its talons and laurels surrounding it.
The motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” and the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR” complete the design.
An NGC MS-64 coin
NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) works independently from sovereign mints, appraising and grading coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
