1884-O PCGS MS-64 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin - Old Green Holder
The US Mint produced Morgan Silver Dollars during the late 1800s and early 1900s to serve as the US’ official dollar coin for widespread circulation.
In addition to its silver content, Morgan Dollars became a sought-after silver coin for their stunning design, illustrated by Chief Engraver George T. Morgan, and historical importance.
The US Mint reintroduced Morgan Dollars in the market in 1921 for a short passage and once more in 2021 as a commemorative issue for the 100th anniversary of its last mintage.
Several official branches produced Morgan Silver Dollars over the years. Those issued in the New Orleans Mint carry the “O” mint mark.
