1881-S PCGS MS-63 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin - Old Green Holder
The Morgan Silver Dollar exemplifies American craftsmanship and outstanding coinage of silver coins.
Initially minted in 1878, Morgan Silver Dollars circulated in the US until 1904, with an additional run in 1921. In 2021, a commemorative strike was issued to celebrate the centenary of the coin's last minting.
Renowned for their stunning design by George T. Morgan, the 4th Chief Engraver of the US Mint, these coins hold significant historical value and reflect a pivotal era in American history.
Coins with the "S" mint mark identify the San Francisco branch which issued them.
SD Bullion offers 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins, graded as MS-63 samples and sealed in the rare Old Green Holders, which PCGS used to encapsulate coins from 1989 to 1998.

A PCGS MS-63 Coin
PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale as a parameter. It works apart from sovereign mints, certifying coins from 1 to 70, according to their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin produced in a business circulation sample format. Grade 63 indicates that the coin may present marks and minor visible hairlines but still have an attractive overall appearance.
