1880-S PCGS MS-62 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin
The Morgan Dollar, first minted in 1878, became a cornerstone of U.S. coinage. It features .7734 oz of 90% silver and a design by George T. Morgan.
It reflected the economic and cultural growth of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Though its production paused in 1904, it briefly returned in 1921. A special commemorative strike in 2021 celebrated its enduring legacy, making the Morgan Dollar a prized collectible among coin enthusiasts.
Coins bearing the "S" mint mark are a distinctive sign of their origin at the San Francisco Mint.
