NGC MS-61 $5 Indian Half Eagle Gold Coin - Random Year
The Indian Head Half Eagle coin was the official $5 currency in the US from 1908 to 1929.
The US Mint issued it through the Denver, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and San Francisco branches. It weighs .2419 oz of gold bullion and features Augustus Saint-Guaden’s design.
The number of Indian Head Half Eagles severely decreased during the economic crisis in the 1930s. Because of their gold content, they were hoarded or melted down.
SD Bullion offers Indian Head Half Eagle coins of varied years, sealed in NGC slabs as MS-61 coins.

An NGC MS-61 Coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company is an internationally recognized service that appraises coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale to grade them from 1 to 70, according to their condition.
An MS-Mint State coin has the same format as a business coin. Grade 61 indicates that the coin’s mint luster may be diminished, with clusters of minor contact marks and noticeable hairlines.
