A symbol of hope following the First World War, the Peace Dollar was introduced in 1921 and remains a remarkable piece of U.S. numismatic heritage. 

It was struck regularly through 1928 and returned briefly in 1934 and 1935.

In 2021, the Mint commemorated its 100th anniversary with a special edition, sparking renewed enthusiasm and paving the way for future Peace Dollar releases.

These coins, in particular, were acquired from the US Mint on the first day of their official release and submitted to PCGS appraisal.

On the reverse, a peaceful bald eagle rests on a rock, clutching an olive branch in its talons. The accompanying inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and “PEACE.”

PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.

MS stands for Mint State and describes a widespread circulation coin that has never been in circulation. Grade 69 is attributed to a coin whose original luster is preserved despite almost invisible minor contact marks or flaws.
