1923-S PCGS MS-64 Peace Dollar Silver Coin
Peace Dollars were introduced in 1921 to commemorate the end of World War I, symbolizing peace and a new era for the United States.
They replaced the Morgan Dollar as the nation's standard silver dollar.
Designed by Anthony de Francisci, Peace Dollars were minted from 1921 to 1928, with a brief return in 1934 and 1935. Like their predecessor, each coin contains .7734 troy ounces of 90% silver.
Coins with the “S” mint mark indicate they were minted at the San Francisco facility.
SD Bullion offers 1923-S Peace Dollar Silver Coins sealed in PCGS slabs and certified as MS-64 coins.

A PCGS MS-64 coin
PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) works independently from sovereign mints, appraising and grading coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects, but with attractive overall quality.
