1882-S PCGS MS-64 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin - Old Green Holder
The Morgan Silver Dollar is a classic piece of American coinage, beloved by collectors for its beauty and historical significance.
Struck between 1878 and 1904 and once more in 1921, these coins symbolize a period of rapid growth and innovation in the United States. In 2021, a special edition was issued to commemorate this centennial.
Morgan Dollars were the official circulating dollar coins stamped by the 4th Chief Engraver George T. Morgan. Coins with the "S" mint mark identify the San Francisco branch which issued them.
Today, SD Bullion offers 1882-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins, graded as MS-64 samples and sealed in the rare Old Green Holders, which PCGS used to encapsulate coins from 1989 to 1998.

A PCGS MS-64 coin
PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) is internationally recognized for appraising and grading coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale as a parameter. It works apart from sovereign mints, certifying coins from 1 to 70, according to their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
