1880-S PCGS MS-63 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin
Morgan Silver Dollars were the official dollar coin in the US from 1878 to 1904 and once more in 1921. They are treasured for their historical significance and exquisite design, which prompted the US Mint to issue a commemorative strike in 2021 to mark the centennial of the last official minting of the circulating coin.
Their original design was created by George T. Morgan and named after him.
Over the years, the US Mint crafted Morgan Silver Dollars through different branches, including Philadelphia, New Orleans, Denver, San Francisco, and Carson City, until 1893, when coinage operations in this last facility ceased.
These coins, in particular, carry the “S” mint mark, identifying the San Francisco branch which issued them.
Today, SD Bullion offers 1880-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins, graded and certified by PCGS as MS-63 coins.
