PCGS MS-66 $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coin No Motto (Random Year)
The St. Gaudens Double Eagle was introduced in 1907 and would circulate until 1932. It has become one of the most iconic designs in American numismatic history. In fact, the Lady Liberty represented on the obverse was revamped by the US Mint in 1986 for the American Gold Eagle coins.
The coin received its moniker from Augustus Saint-Gaudens, an Irish-American Sculptor who was personally commissioned by President Theodore Roosevelt to redesign the US coins at the turn of the 20th century.
These Double Eagle coins boast .9675 Troy oz of gold content and a $20 face value, legal tender to this day within the US.
The first two strikes of these coins did not portray the motto “In God We Trust,” which was only introduced in mid-1908.
Therefore, by purchasing this product, you are guaranteed to receive a PCGS graded MS-66 $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle dated either 1907 or 1908, with no motto on the design.

The Design
On the obverse, this masterpiece of a coin portrays Lady Liberty as the embodiment of the nation, striding forward with a torch of enlightenment in her right hand and an olive branch of peace in her left. The sun rises in the backdrop and the word “LIBERTY” is arching above on the outer rim. The Capitol Building is discreetly etched on the lower left, symbolizing America's enduring commitment to democracy and Republican values. The mint year lies, elegantly, on the right.
Flipping to the reverse, we can see a majestic bald eagle soaring against the ascending sun’s rays, with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "TWENTY DOLLARS" adorning the scene on top.
A PCGS MS-66 Coin

An MS coin indicates a coin that retains its Mint State condition, that is, with its original luster intact. Grade 66 indicates a coin with few marks and hairlines, not on focal areas.
