The obverse design showcased the effigy of a different First Lady, in the order they served as first spouses, along with information regarding which presidency she belonged to, the year of issuance, and the West Point “W” mint mark. 

The reverse design is related to their husbands/ US Presidents and describes the coin’s weight, metal content, purity, and face value, besides the nation’s name.
