NGC/PCGS MS-64 $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coin No Motto - Random Date
The St. Gaudens Double Eagle Coin served as the official $20 currency in the US from 1907 to 1933. The US Mint produced them for widespread circulation, weighing .9675 oz of gold.
The coins minted from 1907 to 1908 are easily recognized for the absence of the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” on the reverse side, which was only added in mid-1908.
Hence, these coins were later called “No Motto” $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coins.

The word “LIBERTY” is on top, and the sun's rays work as a backdrop. The Capitol Building is discreetly imprinted on the lower left, and the year of issuance is on the right.
The sun also appears as a background image in the reverse design, which features a flying Bald Eagle. The inscriptions on this side are on top and read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “TWENTY DOLLARS.”
An NGC or a PCGS MS-64 Coin
PCGS - Professional Coin Grading Service and NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company work independently from sovereign mints appraising and grading coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale as a parameter.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
