An NGC MS-66 Coin
The NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company is a third-party grading service that classifies coins' quality and authenticates their origin, using the Sheldon Scale as a parameter. The scale ranks coins from 1 to 70 according to their condition, with 1 being the poorest and 70 perfectly conserved.
An MS coin indicates a Mint State coin, that is, a coin issued as a business circulation but has never circulated. Grade 66 indicates that the coin is very strong struck, with minimal marks and hairlines.
Though NGC has created a variety of holders over the years to contain these coins, the type of NGC holder provided may vary based on current inventory.
