The Design

On the front side, Lady Liberty strides forward, holding a torch and an olive branch, symbolizing, respectively, the nation's progression towards enlightenment and peace. On the reverse side, the Bald Eagle flies above the sun, with the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "TWENTY DOLLARS" adorning the top of the coin.
