CAC-G MS-70 First Delivery 2024 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin
The American Silver Eagle is one of the most coveted silver coins in the market. The US Mint first released it in 1986, along with its gold counterpart, the American Gold Eagle.
It is a one-ounce coin made of 99.9% fine silver, with legal tender status and a remarkable obverse design that showcases Adolph A. Weinman’s beloved “The Walking Liberty” and Emily Damstra’s new Bald Eagle reverse.
Today, SD Bullion offers 2024 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins, among those produced in the first 30 days of strike, certified and sealed in CAC slabs as a perfect MS-70 coin.
Coin Highlights
- Certified, encapsulated, and graded as MS-70 by the CAC;
- Contains 1 oz of .999 fine silver;
- Among those made within the first 30 days of production,
- Holds legal tender status and USD1 face value, guaranteed by the US Government;
- “The Walking Liberty” by Adolph A. Weinman is the obverse design;
- New reverse mintage with Emily Damstra’s Bald Eagle;
The Design
The Walking Liberty design created by Adolph A. Weinman depicts Lady Liberty, the feminine personification of the nation. In the image, she walks with a stretched arm, the American flag draped on her shoulder, and oak branches on her arm, hence the moniker.
The sun shines in the background. The word “LIBERTY” is inscribed on top, “IN GOD WE TRUST” is on the lower right, and “2024” is on the bottom rim.
Instead of a Heraldic Eagle, the new reverse mintage, introduced in 2021 by Emily Damstra, showcases a Bald Eagle perching on a branch. The coin’s weight, metal content, and purity information are: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” and “FINE SILVER,” and encircle the image.
A CAC MS-70 First Delivery Coin
Third-party services, like the CAC - Certified Acceptance Corporation, work independently of sovereign mints to analyze coins and provide them a certain grade using the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70, according to the coin’s condition.
The CAC calls it “First Delivery,” a coin struck in the first 30 days of mintage in the US Mint branches. MS means Mint State, referring to coins fabricated with the same shape as a popular business coin that remained uncirculated. And 70, the highest grade from the grading scale, is for a flawless coin.
