2027 1 oz Silver Britannia – NGC & SD Bullion MintCertified
FIRST30
| Sealed Tube of 25
The Silver Britannia turns 30 in 2027. The Royal Mint introduced the coin in 1997, ten years after the gold Britannia debuted, and it has been a staple for silver stackers ever since. To mark the milestone, The Royal Mint gave the 2027 release a one-year "30" wave privy mark and a background texture built around the anniversary number, while keeping Philip Nathan's classic standing Britannia on the reverse.
The 2027 1 oz Silver Britannia – NGC & SD Bullion MintCertified
FIRST30
| Sealed Tube of 25 puts 25 of these anniversary coins in one sealed, early-release package. Each coin contains 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver, for a total of 25 troy oz in the tube. The tube comes from Royal Mint stock received within the first 30 days of release and is sealed under the MintCertified
FIRST30
program from SD Bullion and NGC, which keeps the coins eligible for NGC FIRST30
or Early Releases
certification as long as the seal stays intact.
For stackers, that's a simple way to add 25 ounces of government-issued British silver in one move. For collectors, it's a documented early-release pedigree on a design that will only be struck for one year.

The Design
The obverse carries the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings, along with the coin's legal tender inscriptions and £2 face value.
The reverse features the Britannia that sculptor Philip Nathan created for the original 1987 gold bullion coin. Instead of the seated figure found on older British coinage, Nathan's Britannia stands tall, holding a shield for protection, an olive branch for peace, and a trident that speaks to Britain's long connection with the sea. For 2027, the field behind her carries a texture that incorporates the anniversary number, and a wave privy mark reading "30" sets this year apart from every other Silver Britannia. The year, weight, and silver fineness are also inscribed on the reverse.
Every Britannia bullion coin includes four visual security features: micro-text, a latent image, tincture lines on Britannia's shield, and surface animation. Together they help deter counterfeits and make the coins easier to authenticate when it comes time to sell.
The NGC MintCertified
FIRST30
Program
The MintCertified
FIRST30
designation verifies that the coins inside were received from the mint during the initial 30-day release window. These tubes are pulled unopened from new Royal Mint monster boxes and sealed with the co-branded SD Bullion and NGC MintCertified
FIRST30
label, giving you a tamper-evident chain of custody from the mint to your hands.
While the seal remains intact, the coins can be submitted directly to NGC for certification with either the FIRST30
or Early Releases
designation. Opening or tampering with the tube permanently removes that eligibility. The coins in this tube have not been individually graded.
