2025-W NGC PF-70 Advanced Releases US Army Privy 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coin - Army Label
To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States Army on June 14, 2025, the U.S. Mint has released a special edition of the American Silver Eagle featuring an exclusive privy mark.
Established in 1775, the U.S. Army is the oldest and most prominent branch of the nation's armed forces. For two and a half centuries, it has stood at the forefront of defending American values, demonstrating unwavering dedication, courage, and service at home and worldwide.
These US Silver Eagles, in particular, are proof coins produced in the West Point branch. Therefore, they showcase the “W” mint mark and a stunning mirror-like luster. They were also purchased before their official release and submitted to an NGC appraisal.
SD Bullion offers the 2025-W 250th Anniversary of the US Army 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coin, graded by NGC as a PF-70 Advanced Releases coin.

The reverse reflects a contemporary image of a Bald Eagle in mid-flight, clutching an oak branch in its talons. Surrounding the design are the words 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,' 'ONE DOLLAR,' '1 OZ. FINE SILVER,' and the motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM.'"
It is also inscribed with the “W” mint mark from the West Point branch.
An NGC PF-70 Advanced Releases Coin
NGC—Numismatic Guaranty Company appraises coins independently from sovereign mints, grading them using the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70 depending on their condition.
NGC calls “Advanced Releases” coins purchased before their release at the US Mint branch.
PF stands for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes, which exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements.
Since it has never been in circulation, the coin shows no signs of wear, tear, or scratching, which gives it a grade of 70.
