The Design

The Lunar Series III silver coins showcase a standard design.

The obverse portrays the effigy of the new leader of the British Commonwealth Community, King Charles III, designed by Dan Throne.

His Majesty’s bust is surrounded by the coin’s weight, purity, metal content, face value, and the inscriptions “CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA.”

The reverse depicts a coiled snake on the ground beneath hanging leaves. It includes the Chinese character for ‘Snake,’ the inscription ‘SNAKE 2025’, and the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark.
