The Built by Aliens Series is an imaginative collaboration between the Native American Mint and CoinJewels. It presents limited-edition, one-ounce silver coins that celebrate enigmatic sites shrouded in mystery. 

Each coin is struck from 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver and comes in proof or colorized finishes. It features striking artwork inspired by locations some believe were shaped by extraterrestrial hands.

The second release in the series honors Stonehenge, the iconic prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England. As a hallmark of the series, this coin includes an authentic fragment of Preseli Bluestone—the same material used in the original construction of Stonehenge. 

Stonehenge, dating back to 3000 BC, is composed of towering sarsens and smaller bluestones transported over 150 miles from Wales. Its true purpose remains a mystery, though many believe it served as a celestial observatory, perfectly aligned with solstices and other astronomical events.

The Design

The reverse features a glowing alien spacecraft casting energy down upon the Stonehenge monument, with alien silhouettes visible among the towering stones. 

Embedded in the coin on the bottom, a small capsule contains genuine fragments of Preseli Bluestone, said to be sourced from the ancient site itself. The only inscription on this side is placed along the border and reads “STONEHENGE.”

The obverse is adorned with fine radial lines and a bold close-up of a Bald Eagle beneath the bluestone capsule. Surrounding the central image are inscriptions divided by stars, stating: “ONE DOLLAR,” “.999 SILVER,” “1 OZ,” “SOVEREIGN NATION,” “AMERICA 2025,” and “MESA GRANDE.”
